Privacy Policy

Furin Lab (an indie developer; hereinafter the "Operator") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter this "Policy") regarding the handling of information on the websites it operates (furinlab.com and app.furinlab.com) and across the applications it provides.

The Operator is an indie developer. This service does not require user registration, and it does not bill for or process any payments. We do not collect information such as your name, address, phone number, date of birth, or bank account details.

Article 1 (About the Website)

This website consists of static pages and has no forms or login features. We do not use any proprietary analytics tools or advertising on the site. Please note the following, however.

  • For server operation and security purposes, the hosting provider (Xserver) may record access logs (such as IP addresses and access timestamps).
  • To display pages, the site loads web fonts (Google Fonts). As a result, an access request to Google occurs when the fonts are delivered.

Article 2 (Handling of Data in Each App)

Data handling for each app we provide is as follows.

  • DiffLoupe (macOS) — Performs no network communication whatsoever. Folder comparison is completed entirely on your device, and file contents, listings, and comparison results are never sent externally.
  • WattTime (Android) — Conversion history and app settings (such as language and dark mode) are stored only on your device. For ad delivery, it uses Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK), through which the advertising ID, device information, and similar data are collected.   • Logic Circuit Simulator (Web) — All processing takes place within the browser (on the client side). Data such as the circuits you create is never sent to an external server.
  • Furin Local Tools (Web / app.furinlab.com/tools/) — Subtitle conversion, data cleaning, calculators, and similar processing complete entirely in your device's browser. File contents you input, conversion results, and calculated values are never uploaded to, stored on, or analyzed by a server. Results are saved to your device only when you explicitly download or copy them.

Article 3 (Provision to Third Parties)

Except as required by law, the Operator does not provide the information it collects to third parties. For WattTime ad delivery, we use Google (AdMob); regarding Google's handling of data, please see the Google Privacy Policy.

Article 4 (Deletion of Information)

  • WattTime conversion history can be erased using the deletion feature within the app.
  • Uninstalling an app deletes the information stored on your device.
  • You can reset or opt out of the use of your advertising ID from your device settings.

Article 5 (Changes to This Policy)

The Operator may revise this Policy as necessary. Any revised content takes effect at the time it is posted on this website.
