What OISINT is
OISINT does not ask an AI to recommend a restaurant. It collects information that is already published on the web and investigates which places actually match your conditions.
The name comes from OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) × oishii, the Japanese word for delicious. Instead of a star rating, you get ○ / △ / × / ? with the source URL behind each mark.

filled in.
Note: OISINT currently investigates restaurants in Japan, and its explanations are written in Japanese.
Ask it the way you would think it
Somewhere we can talk without rushing, and that takes reservations."
Not keywords — the whole set of conditions you are holding in your head. OISINT breaks it into separate requirements, checks each candidate against them, and answers like this.
When official information and reviews disagree, the contradiction is shown as a contradiction. Neither side is quietly dropped.
Discover → Investigate → Decide
Finding places is only the first third. Investigating them and deciding is the rest.
One investigation, many people
Dinner for three means three sets of conditions. You care about meat, one friend about the bill, another about vegetables and a quiet room. Share the investigation URL and everyone can add conditions and vote 👍 🤔 👎 — the ranking is recalculated on the spot.
- Join by link — just send the URL. It opens and works in a phone browser.
- Add conditions later — "within a ten-minute walk", "private room", whatever you remember afterwards.
- Updates in real time — when someone adds a condition or a vote, everyone's screen follows.
- Useful for trips — keep a board like "Tokyo trip / around Akihabara / 5 people / dinner".
It learns what "good" means to you
Liking highly rated places is not the whole of a preference. Rating all-you-can-eat fairly, accepting a ten-minute walk, enjoying a lively room with friends but a quiet one when eating alone — OISINT accumulates your own definition of a good restaurant as you use it.
The goal is not "popular in general" but "likely to be picked by you". You can try the taste demo without signing in.
Availability and pricing
Investigating, voting, and checking the evidence stay available on the free plan. What OISINT Plus covers, and how much of it, is shown before purchase and in your account.
About the data
- Every claim carries a source — the URL of the public page behind a judgement, and when it was observed.
- No unfounded assertions — a condition that could not be confirmed stays
?. - Preferences are kept in aggregate — only aggregated tendencies are stored for learning, not the text you typed or information identifying specific places.
- Data sources — place and map data from Geoapify and OpenStreetMap contributors; railway data from Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
